2008 BO-ARRO FIELD ARCHERY SHOOT RULES

(March 18, 2008)

 


1.     The Field Archery season will run from April through September with the championship being held in September.  Only scores shot during regular schedule shoots will count.

 

2.     You must complete five units to be eligible for the championship award.

(A unit is 14 targets).

        A round is 2 units.  Each single unit will be used for computing your average and used for credit toward your eligibility for the championship in September but a completed round is necessary for monthly awards.

 

3.     You can make up one unit during a regular scheduled shoot day.

 

4.     Awards will be based on handicap scores only.

 

5.     Units shot during regular scheduled shoots are used to establish your handicap.

 

6.     Two rounds are required before you can have a handicap.

 

7.     Your handicap is based on the average of the three highest scores shot during the 2007 and 2008 seasons.

 

8.     Your handicap equals your average score subtracted from 560 times .8.

 

9.     An optional one-dollar fee can be placed to enter the monthly high handicap shoot competition; winner takes all. (Ties will go to shooter with high score w/o handicap).

 

10.   1st and 2nd place Championship awards will be given to handicap winner and runner-up.

 

13.    A certificate will be awarded to the high handicap winner of the monthly shoots.

 

14.    All awards will be presented at the banquet.

15.    Certificates will be awarded for attaining scoring levels of 300, 350, 400, 450, 475, 500, 520, 525, 530, …560.*

 

16.    20 Pins and yardage bars will be award for twenties scored from the adult stakes on each of the (14) field targets or (14) hunter targets.*

 

17.    Any member who scores 500 or more for a (28) target field round from the adult stakes shall receive a “500 Club” award.*

 

18.    Any member who receives a 20 pin for all fourteen yardages will receive a “Perfect Pin” award.*

 

19.    If you did not receive an award for which you feel you are entitled, notify the shoots chairman.

 

20.    *You are responsible for applying for these awards with the shoots chairman.


RULES   (10/4/07)

        Example: for scores of 255 and 265.  Hcp= .8(300-260) = 32

 

9.     An optional one-dollar fee can be placed to enter the monthly overall high handicap shoot competition; winner takes all. (Ties will go to shooter with high score w/o handicap

 

10.   1st and 2nd place Championship awards will be given to handicap winner and runner-up.

 

13.    Certificates will be awarded for attaining scoring levels over 290.

 

14.    Any member who scores 300 for the round will receive a “Perfect 300” award.

 

15.    All awards will be presented at the banquet.

Flight Classifications and Handicaps

    1. Only championship field rounds shot during Bo-Arro club shoots are used to establish your Bo-Arro classification and handicap. Handicap is used for field and hunter rounds only.

  1. Your flight classification and handicap are based on the average of the three highest scores out of seven or more shot in the years 2002 through 2003. If you have competed in only five or six field shoots, your classification will be based on the two highest scores. If only two to four field shoots, then classification is based on the highest score. Two shoots are required before you can be classified and have a handicap.
  1. The club will allow ½ rounds to accumulate the required two full rounds for handicap. The club will also allow make-up rounds if scored by another club member. This is allowed for the club only and is outside NFAA rules.
  2. If you are unclassified, you must compete in the highest class until you are classified.
  3. All shooters will be reclassified up according to the above rules after each shoot and down only at the end of the year, if warranted.

Competition

  1. In Bo-Arro inner-club competition, only Flight classification will be used to separate shooters. A one-dollar fee is placed to enter the overall high handicap shoot competition; winner takes all. (Ties will go to shooter with high score w/o handicap).

    Awards

  2. All 28 targets must be completed, scored and attested to by another club member to be eligible for classification or awards. You can’t shoot alone and be eligible for awards.
  3. All awards for regular monthly shoots will be awarded at the annual awards banquet. The Dollar shoot cash award will be awarded

9. An engraved nameplate will be awarded the monthly high handicap winners.

  1. Certificates will be awarded to the high handicap flight winners of the monthly shoots.
  2. Club championship plaques will be awarded scratch and handicap flight winners based on cumulative scores for the club championship shoot and the two highest scores shot during the regular monthly shoots.
  3. The hunter’s round will be scored separately and certificates will be awarded.
  4. Youths can shoot novelty shoots, and will be awarded a High Round Certificate at the banquet. Youths are not eligible for the dollar shoot, or the monthly shoots.
  5. Certificates will be awarded for attaining scoring levels of 300, 350, 400, 450, 475, 500, 520, 525, 530, …560.
  6. 20 Pins and yardage bars will be award for twenties scored from the adult stakes on each of the (28) field targets or (14) hunters targets.
  7. Any member who scores 500 or more for a (28) target field round from the adult stakes shall receive a "500 Club" award.

2004 BO-ARRO FIELD ARCHERY SHOOT RULES

This is allowed for the club only and is outside NFAA rules. 20 Pins would be awarded to scores witnessed and signed by a club member.

2. Engraved Nameplate will be awarded to the high handicap flight winners of the monthly shoots.

Club Championship
1. Club championship plaques will be awarded for handicap flight winners based on cumulative scores for the club championship shoot and the two highest scores shot during the regular monthly field shoots.

Certificates
1. The hunter’s round will be scored separately and certificates will be awarded
2. Certificates will be awarded for attaining scoring levels of 300, 350, 400, 450, 475, 500, 520, 525, 530, …560.
3. Any adult member who scores 500 or more for a (28) target field round shall receive a “500 Club” certificate

Other Awards
1. 20 Pins and yardage bars will be award for twenties scored from the adult stakes on each of the (28) field targets or (14) hunters targets.

2. Any member who receives a 20 pin for all fourteen yardages will receive a “Perfect Pin” award.

8.           Certificates will be awarded to the high handicap flight winners of the monthly shoots.  You must shoot within your flight to be eligible for an award.  Scratch score flight winners will receive an engraved nameplate for personal best scores.
