A. RANGE-- GENERAL

 

I 'The range will be closed, including practice butts and any disturbance will be curtailed while General meetings are in progress.

2      There shall be no indiscriminate shooting.

3.     Shooting of cross bows is prohibited.

4. Only target or field points may be shot on the field range or at the practice area. Broad head arrows are not to be shot except on the Broad head range.

5.     Place Bows and or Orange flags in front of target when looking for arrows

6. DO NOT LEAVE range by any other means but proper paths and NEVER GO BACK TOWARD THE SHOOTING DIRECTION.

7. [except for shooting archery, no one should be on the range unless it is for maintenance, changing of targets, work hours, etc.

8      Children are not allowed to play on the range.

9. Used targets should be brought in from the range and placed in the proper receptacle by tile target shed.

10    NO HUNTING and or DISCHARGE of guns on range property.

 

B. SHOOTING RULES

 

These rules will apply for all inter-club shoots and generally, for all shooting. When we host shoots of league status or higher, league or national (NFAA) rules will apply; and where our rules conflict, our rules shall for the duration of the shoot be inoperative. Any questions or disputes not covered by these rules may be ruled upon by the Shoots Committee

 

I. Classification and registration regulations for the inter-club shoots are outlined each year in the BO-ARRO NEWS, and complete information is available from the Club Corresponding Secretary.

2 Groups of shooters shall consist of not less than two (2) or more than five (5) Cubs and Youth under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

3. Shooting order: decision of the group in accordance with NFAA regulations. Two at most may shoot together if shooting position allows.

4.     Ail persons in a group must stay even with or behind the person shooting

5 There shall be no practicing on targets on the range during a shoot. It is illegal to sight in bow while shooting a club shoot.

6. Both feet should straddle the shooting stake. The shooting stake representing the "imaginary line"

7 Skip-in or glance-in shots into field or hunter round faces do not count. However, on animal and novelty shoots they are legal scores.

8 Arrow breaking scoring lines shall count as larger value. Score is to be determined before arrow is pulled

9    Witnessed scoring bounce-outs and pass-through's do not count.

10. The "X" ring will be used, so be sure to indicate "X" ring on the score card Ties shall be decided by the first unit score [14 target score]; in case this is also tied, the winner shall be the person scoring the highest on the first three (3).

I I Place BOWS AND OR ORANGE METAL FLAGS IN FRONT of targets when looking for arrows.

12.  Children 16 years of age are allowed to shoot on the range alone with parental consent.

 

C.      PRACTICE BUTTS

 

I     All shooting shall be done from behind marked shooting stakes.

The tree stand (platform) is restricted to adult members 18 or older.

3    NO BROAD HEAD ARROWS are to be used at the Practice area (field or target tips ONLY).

4.   Be sure all shooters have completed their rounds before retrieving arrows.

5 When retrieving arrows, bows may be hung on bow rack, unless, arrows are being searched for behind practice area. Bows should then be placed in front of the center (35 yd.} ~practice target.

6.    Shooting of crossbows is prohibited.

7 Children 14 years of age are allowed to shoot at the practice area alone, but, must have parental consent Cubs and Youth under 14 shall be accompanied by an adult 8 Cross-target shooting is not allowed

 

D.  RANGE PROPERTY -- CARE AND USE

 

I     All dogs must be kept on a leash while on Club Property.

2 The Board of Directors will approve all range matters such as camping equipment and positioning of camp sites and grills and are to enforce the condition of the lease.

3. Tents of any type shall not be erected in the center of the general picnic area (check with the Range Captain's).

4. Tents must be taken down and removed when member leaves the range.                                                 5.. Camping for Members Only. \        6. Shelters, may be constructed only with Bo-Arro Board approval.

7.   Picnicking is restricted to picnic and camping areas.

NO ONE is allowed to climb trees or shelter.

9.   Children are not allowed in work and supply sheds.

l0 Snowmobiles are not allowed on range property.

11. After a day at the range, all garbage and trash should be taken to the main holding area and deposited in the dumpster.

12.  Personal property should not be stored in supply sheds.

13   Personal and range equipment should be properly stored when not in use.

14. Personal property abandoned on Club properties will be subject to confiscation by the Board of Directors and will either be properly disposed of or inventoried as club property (this is a by-law)

  15 NO HARD BALL PLAYING IN THE PICNIC AREA.

 

E.        PLAYGROUND

 

I       Children under six (6) years of age should have adult supervision.

2.     It is recommended that all children be supervised at the playground.

3.     NO FOOD or BEVERAGE should be taken into the playground.

4.     Activities should be limited to the equipment provided (NO ball playing, etc.).

5      NO FENCE CLIMBING.

6.      NO DOGS allowed in the Playground area

 

F. GUESTS

 

I       A Guest shall be limited to two (2) visits to the range in one year.

2.     A fee of $1.00 per guest must be paid per day.

3. Payment of quest fee should be made to a Board member or put in the Guest Box with donation and Guest Register should be signed.

4 Exceptions to the number of visits and fees:

                   a No fee for guest under fourteen (14) years of age.
                   b. Immediate family quests (mother, father, grandparents and grandchildren)

may visit more than twice without paying a fee for any visit.

c. Members children who are under age 18 or full-time students may bring a guest more than twice but must pay the $1.00 fee for each visit and be accompanied by the parent member.

5      All Guests shall sign the "Guest Register".

6      Guests are not allowed to camp without prior Board approval.

7 Guests should not shoot at the practice butts or on the range without adult Member supervision

8 An Adult family may have no more than four (4) Guests at the range at one time, unless the Guests are all members of an immediate family or with prior Board approval. 9 Members children under age 18 or full-time students may have no more than one quest at the range at one time.

I 0. Any Member wishing to invite more Guests than noted above, or any Guest for more than two (2) visits, or for camping must submit such a written request in advance to the Board tbe approval.

I I Members on Leave of Absence shall have the same privileges as Guests.

12 Members of Bo-Arro wishing to bring a Guest out to the Club on a continuous basis must submit a written request to the Board for each season. If the Guest is shooting he or she may shoot twice (2), then they have the option of joining the Club or not returning.
