* * * PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE: Well, another season will end and a new board will be installed come September. I must thank the current board members for getting the job done and in the number of successful events we’ve had. I’ve been particularly impressed by the attendance at our shoots and hope it continues into the following year. Good luck to all shooting in the Club Championship, this hunting season and to next years’ board.

PICNIC ’08 This year, unlike last, we had near perfect weather for our picnic. Attendance was good and as usual the food was great! The only problem is that the time goes by so fast that some of the activities were missed. However the speed shoot, 80 yard shoot, Martini/Manhattan shoot, silent auction and the raffles went well. A thanks goes around to everyone for making this a successful event. I would like to give special thanks to Sam Koukios, who donated many archery items that went to make the silent auction a success and make a number of dollars for the club.
Raffle winners: Mark won the 3D deer target. Phil won the 50/50 raffle.
* * * FROM THE EDITOR: This will be my last Newsletter as Mike & Betsy Sheehan have volunteered to take over as editors. They need your support by providing them with prompt reports. All board members need to get them their reports on or before the 15th of the month. The best way is to e-mail your report to mike_sheehan@earthlink.net Also, any member that has an item of interest should also get it to them as indicated. Good luck, Mike & Betsy. I would like to thank Rich and Keith for always getting their reports in promptly every month.
* * * JOE MOORADIAN CLASSIC CHAMPIONSHIP FIELD SHOOT SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 7, 2008 This year our Field Championship shoot will be held in honor of our oldest member in both age and membership, our own Joe Mooradian. Joe has over 50 years of dedicated service to BO-ARRO and this is just our way of saying… THANK YOU… JOE!!!
This handicap shoot will follow the same format as our regular monthly shoots, but with the following exceptions...
Any eligible shooter who can not make this shoot should notify Dan, ASAP.
Championship Shoot handicaps are included in this newsletter.
* * * Don’t forget to send your ballots to Mary Fiala, or better yet, bring them to the September meeting! * * * |
