APRIL SHOOT REPORT:

The weather cooperated with our April 6th shoot date with sunny and warm temperatures, and some, but not excessive wind. This brought out possibly our biggest turnout for a field shoot since we’ve been at our new location. This will be great if it continues! And the big winner of the April shoot…drumroll please…Rich Salemi! Great job!

What brand is that new bow of yours, again?

For whatever reason, some members did not want to start at the rabbits and finish with the 80, but rather shoot a random round such as we did at the linked ranges. After some discussion, a vote was taken and the majority wanted a random format. So, at the May shoot, use the new score cards and follow the sequence by yardage as shown on the cards.

The current practice butts will be setup for the Cubs to shoot an official (14) target round. An adult must monitor the children shooting!

RANGE REPORT

APRIL 19th & 20th, 2008

Turnout for the first weekend was low, however much was accomplished on the "Cub" range. Butts were repaired and shooting stakes were added. Also brush, weeds and garbage was removed and minor repairs were made to the adult range. Hopefully the remaining things that need to be done will be completed on the April 26th & 27th, weekend.

President’s message:

The banquet was a huge success, with thanks to go around to everyone. Considering our small numbers the turnout was excellent. Participation in the silent auction, deer raffle, 50/50 raffle and bake sale was super. Pat Salemi won $117 in the 50/50 raffle and Joe won the deer raffle and gave the deer target back to the club. THANK YOU JOE! Everyone won with the wonderful treats from the bake sale. The gals deserve special THANKS!…for the delicious homemade baked goods they donated. One other touching thing, was the donation of a tree stand to the silent auction by Keith Engelhardt…going to Jeff with the high bid.
